Besides the obvious benefits of it being non-toxic, and environmentally friendly, the many golfers running all around the golf courses do not have too be concerned with breathing in chemical dust or getting chemicals on them that are transferred from the golf ball or clubs. There are many other benefits to consider as well. For instance…if you use too much, you don't burn out or destroy a perfectly good lawn, fairway or whatever area you were fertilizing and then have to handle the damage control.

Many of the liquid organic fertilizers, such as MegaGreen, stay in the ground 3 to 4 times longer than the chemical fertilizers. In most cases, the organic fertilizers will stay in the ground for about 13 weeks, while chemical fertilizers wear off in 2-3 weeks. What does this mean to golf course superintendents,  landscaping services, and homeowners?  Not only does it save time…but it costs less with fewer applications. Also, because the organic fertilizer stays in the ground longer, labor costs are reduced. It also requires less watering in most instances and reduces the water bill and retains a lush green look longer during dry spells.

With all of the benefits that an organic fertilizer offers, why aren't more golf courses using it? If someone can answer that question for me I would be extremely grateful!
